First Air Jordan - 1985They came out in 1985 ... this year is 2018; 2018 minus 1985 is 33 years ago. I brought one pair of this shoe for $64.95 plus tax. FAST FORWARD TEN YEARSI wore this shoe sparingly and kept it in good shape and sold this shoe in 1995 for $400.00 and never, ever looked back. I considered this shoe to be retro because it's more than 30 years old and right now they are getting $500 to $6,000 a piece on eBay. I sold them for $400.00 to pay for a costly auto repair bill that I had to repair a gasket of my 1985 Ford Bronco II. Those were the first and last Air Jordans that I ever bought in my life.

Mini Skirts in the 70sHammer Films actresses Veronica Carlson and Kate O’Mara It was a rage in the 70s seeing young teen aged girls wearing mini-skirts and they were very simple to make. My girlfriend at the time that in the late 70's told me that she can make one in 1 hour or less and cost her less that $2.00 to make them. She made something like this girl is wearing and she loves plaid mini skirts. The most popular version that every girl back then can't do without is a jean skirt that many girls made them themselves and they were even more easier to make. My girlfriend and I were talking in the sewing room together for a good 20 minutes and she was making a mini-skirt out of jeans and was done exactly 20 minutes so she can wear it for our date for tonight. She left the sewing room to go to her bedroom to change and a couple minutes later ... she said to me ... I'm ready to go to see Superman The Movie with you and have pizza afterwards. I was surprised how fast and easy it was for her to make them. She took a pair of woman jeans and presto convert them into a skirt in exactly 20 minutes later!

I lived for those record/tape and book sets. i had more than just these two but they were new Star Wars stories and that made it even better: (highlight mine)They might've been new to you, but to readers of the Marvel Star Wars comic, they were issues #47 "Droid World!" and #55 "Plif!", both publishes a couple of years before those record/book packages.

If these toys made a comeback, I might buy them again. Matt Mason was like the Holy grail of toys when I was six years old. I didn't have the toys but I did have this Major Matt mason "Big Little Book":

Shoe Shine Kit Part 1 of 2My Grandfather had one of these shoe shine kit in the 40's ... looked exactly like this one in the picture below. It was stocked with this stuff pictured below and after 5 years of using it ... we ended up throwing it away and the year was 1968. When Batman Adam West TV Series was over ... My Dad was using it the most made a decision to throw it away and we ended up getting a new kit. We brought a lot of Esquire Shoe Polish between 1955 to 1968 for polishing our Shoes - My Dad and my three older Brothers all polished their shoes pretty much about an average of every other week and my Dad did his on a weekly basis as well. Even, my own Mother use it on a monthly basis on her certain dress pumps that she likes to wear for Dancing Occasions.

Shoe Shine Kit Part 2 of 2Our New Shoe Shine Kit looked exactly like this one pictured below: We had this for 8 years and gave it to my Uncle in Cleveland that had a hard time finding one of these in his hometown because they don't always stocked them for purchases. In 1978 (Year of which I graduated out of High School) ... my Dad got this one for us to use (pictured above) and my brother still have this thing. Various Shoe Polish (pictured below) that we used and still use today! Over 40 years old!

Soft Serve Ice CreamHow to make them - Cool Clip Here. Popular since 1960's ... I usually have one of these cones on a weekly basis and I'm so fond of these things. I'm thinking of getting one today! Dairy Queen Logo My grandparents opened the first Dairy Queen franchise, in Bloomington, IL (first in Bloomington, not first, ever). Unfortunately, they had sold it off before I came along. However, I grew up with Dairy Queen. Any time we visited, we had Dairy Queen ice cream, Dilly Bars and the like. They had Dairy Queen ephemera around the house (ice cream cone keychains, pens, etc...). After years away from one, I finally moved to a town that had a local walk-up DQ and ordered a Dilly Bar, out of nostalgia. It was pre-packaged, processed, and tasted terrible. I remember when they were made fresh and were in paper envelopes (and hot fudge was actually kept "hot"). They couldn't do the curly-ques right, either. In the 1970s, Dennis the Menace became spokesman for Dairy Queen, appearing in cartoon ads and on containers and store signage. The association lasted until 2001, though he was mostly absent from advertising, by the 1980s. And who voiced Dennis in those commercials (at least, the early ones)?

ps. When you eat at DQ now, you are putting money into the pocket of Warren Buffett. DQ is owned by Berkshire Hathaway.

Stacey Adams have some great shoes. Both in style and in comfort. If I ever get into the situation of needing dress shoes on a regular basis, I'd buy Stacey Adams again.
