Those Annoying Post Bros Savage Henry These titles always looked good. I have a few issues. Tiny print runs and poor distribution. It's a shame these aren't collected.

hondobrode My LCS at the time ... did not even bother carry this book at all and this is the first time ever that I seen this book; I've heard about through friends in Chicago, Boston, and St. Louis ... and they kind of like this book to extent. The earliest that I heard about this book was 2001 and I've quickly forgotten about it until you've posted the 1st Comic Book of Shade -- The Changing Man!

Bachalo did some interesting work on New X-Men.

After seeing Liefield's New Mutants and Marz's Green Lantern I had to look at the thread title again.
Oh...that explains it. Carry on.

rberman ... I did not know that he did X-Men and I do know that he helped Neil Gaiman's two Death series ... of which he did a great job with it.

Yes, Chris Bachalo had a caricature style and some very interesting page layouts in the final 1/3 of Grant Morrison's New X-Men run, and lots of other X-Men work that I have not read as well, apparently. We will get to his New X-Men in a couple of weeks on my review thread.

I thought Liefield's supposed to be a pariah of sorts with his work in Marvel in retrospect to many fans nowadays when looking back. However, I am not familiar with Marz's GL.

I've not read Liefield's New Mutants so I couldn't tell you how the stories are. I find his art nausea inducing so there's no chance I'll ever read it. I haven't read a lot of Marz's Green Lantern but what I've read I would classify as incredibly pedestrian superhero funnybooks. Which isn't bad per se...it's just...pedestrian.

Actually, the stories were pretty good at the time on New Mutants and Liefeld brought a new energy to the title.
That was then.
Weezie Simonson was still writing it, and Liefeld's art can be haphazard, amateurish and disjointed, but, thanks to the inks of accomplished veterans like Hilary Barta, Joe Rubinstein and Art Thibert, his stuff had some Kirby-ish energy to it.

I personally enjoyed most all of Kyle Rayner as GL.

Yeah, but WiR also was the impetus for Gail Simone to start writing comics. So there is a yin-yang aspect to it.
