If you are a fan of Mad Magazine and within drving distance of Columbus, OH, The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library and Museum is holding an exhibit starting May 5 and running through October on Mad. Thanks for the heads up. MAD was near flawless as an illustrated publication from its start up to the early 1980s. Subjective, of course, but teeth and creative edge which made the magazine famous were all there in that period.

Dang. That's cool. I am a fairly big fan of Mad. At least through the early 80s. I'd love to be able to go to this, but seems unlikely as it's half a continent away.

Sounds like it'll be an interesting exhibition...and I agree with the good folks above that MAD's golden era was from the 50s through to, and including, the early 80s.
