I like that they infuse Brazilian and South American percussion and rhythms with various metal styles.

Tehnotronic- Hey Yoh, Here We Go (Eurodance Mix)
Probably one of my favorites by them, with "Turn It Up" in a close second

Ordered some new CD's from Amazon of bands I found on Youtube which I shall be listening to during my work drives.
1st up today: Italian modern melodic rock band: Temperance newest album Viridian. Lineup is MArco Pastorino lead guitars, clean/harsh vocals (growls, meh). Alessia Scolletti vocals. Michele Guaitoli male voclas, Lucia Negor bass. Alfonso Mocerino drums. Do areally great blend of heavy metal sounding guitars/drums/riffs combined with electronic trtacks with a melodic trio of singers. Not really into the whole growl, gutteral thing but it is limited here with more vocalizing from the trio and some truly impressive instrument playing. The female voice Scolletti is incredible. And the singing is done in English.
Have got to say that thanks to Youtube and Amazon shipping international bands my music listening as an adult today has quite a lot more variety going on with the ease of finding and exploring bands from outside the USA which I might have never known of.

I've been jammin' on Willie Dixon: The Chess Box. I know that the days of the big boxed set are over...but damn I miss them.

Lou Reed on Spotify as I mark exams...
To think that I never really listened to Reed before. What a shame.

The sound of silence. Not the song, I mean I forgot to put anything on. Well, not silence. The dryer is going, and the dogs are barking at something. I think I will put on some music. I listened to BB King this morning. I think it's time to turn up the adrenaline. Gojira maybe.

For today's work driving ear pleasure, Serenity: War of Ages. Austrian symphonic Metal band delivering musical history lessons in this CD of Hwnry the VIII, Napolean, and Alexander the Great. Mix of hard rocking guitar, symphonic passages, ballads and rocking tunes. Not as hard edged as Sabaton's history with a much more melodic and more vocalizing with a lot of tempo and hook. Quite good!

Fatal Friday the last day of the work week driving in listening to Unleash the Archers: Apex. Some power heavy metal ballad ear wax melting rhythms full of bass and guitar riffs along with giant sized voices and choirs to make the blood race as it calls you to battle! Some good strong tunes to pump oneself up for facing that looooong final work day.

I think almost everything up to the early 80s is first rate, after that it's a little less consistent. It's a playlist, so I don't really know what album the songs came from... I wasn't paying all that much attention, I must admit. (I wasn't thrilled by the Reed-Metallica team-up, though!)
