Most recently (just up from a nap) Primitive Calculators' ... ummm, can't use that word on this site, or last shouldn't ... comeback CD. Great blend of Cyclic Amp & Head of David, almost.

I'm sure some would argue, but Purple Rain, in my opinion, is very far up the list of the man's greatest musical accomplishments.
And the movie's not bad either.

Upon listening, though, I found, as a whole, "1999" to be bit more fun to listen to. But, man! I haven't really listened to Prince since I was little, and I now really understand just how...um, sexual, his music really is/was. I do not have his current stuff, so I do not know what that is like, but the two I have? Wow. Good stuff.

I do not have his current stuff, so I do not know what that is like, but the two I have? Wow. Good stuff. There's not much to his music since Rave Un2 The Joy Fantastic, but out in 1999/2000. His music has changed with his life since he became a Jehovah's Witness. There are a few good songs in the albums, since then, but not nearly enough, if one weren't already a career fan of his to look into. Musicology had good enough songs on it, for me, but Rave was the last good album in almost it's entirety. It's funny now, I spent all my time hiding his music in my teens from my parents for just the reasons you mentioned as a Jehovah's Witness, (though I haven't been in 15 years when I left) and now he's one and all the flair to his music is gone. He can still rock instruments but his songwriting is sadly lost to religion.
