I've always loved this cover. The Hulk's eyes are so threatening in a way similar Ditko's version of the character from his Tales to Astonish run.

Great subject this week again. Starlin was one of the best cover artists of the 70s, IMO.

Great subject this week again. Starlin was one of the best cover artists of the 70s, IMO. Loved the painted covers from Marvel's 1970s magazines (this one is from October, 1977). This is such a standout from Starlin's usual work.

He didn't do that many painted covers but all the ones I can think of were really good: Rampaging Hulk #4 & 5, Marvel Preview #13 (UFOs) & #14 (Star Lord), the SSoC #26 already posted earlier ... I thought there were a few others but those are all I can remember right now. Did he ever do any for the Warren mags?
