Steve Rude produced this to introduce potential TV producers to the world of Nexus for a potentialanimated series but it was never released...

It wasn't released but Rude himself used to (and probably still does) sell copies of it at conventions. I know, because I bought one from him.

That was a weird developmental project. At one point, Hanna-Barbera was involved, for a potential animated series. Given the rather mature nature of Nexus (despite its surface appearance), H-B seemed like an odd fit. However, they must have seen the connections to Alex Toth and Space Ghost. Still, H-B was not producing adult fare, at the time, and hadn't had a prime time series in a couple of decades. As I recall, it was before the Turner buyout of H-B and their subsequent merger with Time-Warner. Alas, the project was abandoned. Looking at later Adult Swim shows and things like BTAS and the Spawn cartoon on HBO, it could have easily worked and been a fantastic series.
