I dunno if it's because I'm down on the whole concept, partly due to the director's comments, but to me that just looks like garbage.

Watched the first episode. It was okay I guess? Was happy to see Don Johnson in it though
I really don't watch much in the way of weekly airing shows outside of Kamen Rider and Super Sentai, so another one to add to my lineup is welcomed unless there's some BS going on in it that I don't much care for

Damn it, now internet racists are complaining about this. So I feel like I have to watch it.

Damn it, now internet racists are complaining about this. So I feel like I have to watch it. I’d rather have an academic/critically analytical/evidenced-based discussion on race and the solutions that could be actively carried out instead of discussing it through Watchmen, in spite of how much attention it’s getting, because the attitudes in and surrounding it seem to be getting kind of gross and self-destructive honestly.

Just finished watching this series over a few days this past week; it's kind of amusing to read all of the critical comments here, esp. from the first page of this thread, because at that time that this was announced, I shared some of the same sentiments (mainly with regard to the way Moore was f-k'd over by DC over a property it still uses to generate revenues). However, I was very impressed with the series. My inner comic-book geek found a few plot points/storytelling aspects questionable, but overall dealt really well with its main theme: race relations in America. Very well written, with an excellent cast.

I've watched the first two episodes for free on Hulu. It isn't horrible, as it has some interesting points, and I will probably finish it in the next week or two.
