This looks interesting to me. It appears the main Archie title will go on hiatus with #32 & be replaced by this mini series. Here is the link for more info: archie 1941
Archie Comics has announced a Sept. 12 launch for Archie 1941, a mini-series written by Mark Waid and Brian Augustyn, with art by Peter Krause.
"Archie 1941 finds Riverdale dealing with the impact of the impending conflict on the small town and in the personal lives of Archie, Betty, Veronica, Jughead and Reggie Mantle."

I'm not particularly a fan of Waid's but this looks swell!

Very cool that it is set in the decade that Archie and the gang made their debut. I wonder if the boys will all be drafted...if the girls will join the war effort. This sounds like it may be really good!

According to my sources at my LCS that this is very interesting undertaking by Waid and Company -- I'm very much interested in this and can't wait for September to arrive.

Glad to see and read about this! I hope it goes well and sells enough for a longer 1942 series, and then a 1943, and 1944, and...
