Hollywood Reporter broke the news that Geoff Johns has stepped down as CCO of DC Entertainment, with Jim Lee taking over as CCO. Johns will be forming Mad Ghost Productions to oversee movie, TV, and comic projects for WB and DC, including writing a new Shazam comic, a new Dc imprint called Killing Zone, the Titans and other projects for the DC streaming service and the Green Lantern Corps movie. This follows the news that Diane Nelson has resigned as President of Dc Entertainment earlier this week.. She had been on a leave of absence and chose not to return to her position. We will have to see how this all shakes out for the direction DC moves in. -M

That's pretty darn big, I wonder how this will effect the future of the films.

They must be trying to shake up the lackluster movies that they've be making with the addition of Johns' talent. They must think very highly of him.

Fantastic news. A major shake-up after just having a Jack Kirby-esque move of Brian Michael Bendis from Marvel to DC.
I'd rather have Geoff John's writing comic books than sitting as a boss. He's more productive that way.

Lee will be a good fit for CCO.
Super happy Johns is back writing. Frankly, if Didio were to ever not be publisher, Johns is the first in line I'd like to see as E-i-C or publisher.
