As much as I dislike the way some shops go about their business and they some retailers act like spoiled entitled a-holes, there are a lot of really good shops and owners out there too. The 2018 Eisner Spirit of Retail Award nominees were announced, including 2 Ohio shops (one in Columbus-Laughing Ogre which I have been to a handful of times-and one in Cincinnati-Up, Up, and Away which I haven't been to) and Farpoint Toys & Collectibles whom I know of from watching the Comic Trips show on Youtube.

Congrats to the nominees, and here's hoping they are inspirations to other retailers on how to do things right and grow the audience for our little passion hobby that we all love.
