Thanks, as always to everyone who participated and helped the event fulfill its intended purpose -- to celebrate the community and its amazing membership. And a heartfelt congratulations to every member of this community, whether you won, were nominated, or just deserved to be. There were only ten awards to go around, but we all make this place what it is. Thank you!
The awards are 792 x 200, and are designed to be the ideal size to work as a banner for those who feel like rightfully flaunting their win. After all, it's not really bragging if we voted to give you the honor in the first place

THE RESULTS
The Professor X Award (Best Discussion Starter)
"He has started a number of discussions that explore the breadth of what comics have to offer, and brings a perspective to those discussions that is intelligent and articulate, providing fodder for some of the best discourses this site has to offer. " -- mrp
Favorite Classic Comics (non-review) Thread
"Truly insightful and interesting to read someone else's thoughts, remembrances and adoration of collecting comic books throughout their life. " -- brutalis
The Brother Power the Geek Award (Funniest Member)
"I nominate Prince Hal, whose wit and good cheer always make a discussion better. Even when he’s angry (as when we’re discussing, say, certain infamous political figures), he uses sharp humour rather than his quietus make with a bare bodkin (or the message board equivalent thereof)." -- Roquefort Raider
Favorite Beyond The Back Issues Thread
"I enjoyed reliving the X-men franchise of movies, which for the most part have been good to excellent. And I still think Wolverine : Origins was a great film. . " -- Icctrombone
The Krypto Award (Friendliest Member)
"I have to nominate MechaGodzilla for the second year in a row. Again he is everywhere commenting on a variety of threads. Offering kind words when needed. Boosting spirits with fun threads. His posts brighten my day. And when I log on I know there will be a post I made that mecha liked." -- Michael James
Favorite Fan Fiction or Fan Art Piece
" It is always a joy to read Kurt's stuff; his knowledge of comics and comic history always shines through, but even more important he weaves an engrossing narrative and is a good storyteller and this work puts those traits on display." -- mrp
The Uatu Award (Most knowledgeable member)
"He has surprised me with this deep understanding of the history and the important creators that have made this hobby great. It's more than a surface knowledge and it's illuminating to read his posts." -- Icctrombone
Favorite Review Thread
"One of the series I missed out on in the 90's. A nice concise assessment of a great series." -- Michael James
The Jasper Sitwell Award for new member whose activity has most benefited the community
"Love all his many threads. Love his reviews. love his enthusiasm. And didn't he help with tabulating the top 100 sagas?" -- Michael James
The Captain Jim Zimmerman Award for best overall member who most exemplifies the spirit of the CCF
"on top of his extremely interesting Tintin and Star Wars threads and his vast knowledge of modern music, {he} is one of the best moderators I have seen on any message board. He’s firm but fair, understanding and rational, and a great member of a fine community." -- Roquefort Raider
A heartfelt congratulations to all of our winners, nominees, and participants. Thanks, EVERYONE, for a fourth amazing year at the CCF. Here's to the fifth!
