Here's the cover that pic came from, and yes, Gil Kane was the cover artist.
His Superman had a very Golden Age vibe to it; that's a good thang.

Firehawk was in Firestorm right? I think I had the first few appearances, when Pat Broderick was the artist. One of the members of this group is also a comic fan and cartoonist, here's one of their album covers he did (guitarist Cyril Jordan).  |
