Not sure if this 1978 issue is a reprinted cover (however, the issue reprints 2 Ditko stories), but if it was created that year, its sort of interesting to see how his artistic sensibilities (on sci-fi costume design, etc.) were still rooted in ideas associated with 1930s pulp to 50s comics, and not at all in the style realm of artists who had taken sci-fi comic design to the 2001 point (and beyond) just in the previous decade.

I'm not sure if this one counts, because I don't know if Ditko drew all or half of the cover. I'll leave it up to chaykinstevens to decide if it qualifies. If not, I have another cover I can post (if no one gets to it first). According to GCD, the Plastic Man side was pencilled by Dave Cockrum, but the Starman side is definitely Ditko, so I'd say your cover qualifies.

A couple of the other covers from my short list have turned up, but there are still 3 others I was considering that we haven't seen yet. Ditko did so much really cool work.

The cover is a modified reprint from Space Adventures #31 from 1959. This is an instance of the reprint being vastly superior to the original, though. The original only had half the art, as the rest was covered up by trade dress and word balloons and other nonsense. In this version, you can really see the use of shape and color and contrast; the whole thing just pops! Whereas the original is a muddied mess.

Crimebuster. It's amazing how much the reprint improves that cover.

badwolf. My favorite Ditko cover, with his Molten Man taking on the best influences from many a sci-fi/horror film from the 50s.
Honorable mention: codystarbuck.
