The first image I definitely recall from the Toth: Genius Animated volume, don't recall the other two. There were a few concepts showcased in there, in his hands, that looked pretty cool, though you know, in H-B's hands, would not have worked out the way he visualized it. Still, Dial H could have been a fun premise for a cartoon.
There was one concept piece for a show with these anthropomorphic animal beings, that was a pitch for something with Farrah Fawcett. The art looked great; but, I just thought, "That would probably be a horrible cartoon." Kind of the same thing with that Bonanza-in-the-Future pitch piece.

She didn't make her first cover appearance until the cover date July 1965 issue of the Atom (#19) and then it was as a inset head and not part of the cover action... and not until Green Lantern #42 (Jan '66) that she's part of the cover's action.... -M

I was looking through some issues of the 1963 miniseries, and it made me wonder if any of the 60s Marvel bullpen read it, and what they thought of it. I'm hoping they appreciated the affectionate parody of 60s Marvel that it was.

I'm hoping they appreciated the affectionate parody of 60s Marvel that it was. Given the timeframe, I suspect most were oblivious to it. Most interviews I have read or seen with that generation, it seemed that comics were their job, but they didn't really look at other publications or stay current with the industry, beyond artists whose work they liked. The generation that followed seemed to be more the one that was all about comics and not much else (apart from individual passions).

WIZARDS! The Podcast Guide to Comics has an account on Twitter (I still can’t think of it as X). Look at this: x.com/WizardsComics/status/1828191040505008129If you can’t see that, this is what was shared: Anyone ever read any of those - or know much about the title? There was a UK Batman/Superman comic, which was merely reprints, but that looks like something different.

I found 3 of these a a show last year but haven't had a chance to read them yet, but they are stories done in the style of the Adventures comics based on the Timmverse of BTAS and STAS. The first issue (which I have) has two 6 page stories then a lot of non-comic pages to round out the issue. Here's the link to the series on GCD-M

Following up on our discussion of Zatanna's 1st appearance in Hawkman #4, DC is releasing a facsimile edition of that issue this autumn.

I liked the costume, and the film had moments; but, the whole package was a misfire.

The second Sly took off his helmet and showed his face, he forfeited any right to call himself Judge Dredd. Urban all the way.

I agree.
It’s odd that the Sly movie chose to showcase Dredd’s world - and then have Dredd accused of something, before removing his helmet and becoming a fugitive. That’s a LOT for one film.
I mean, you’d need a trilogy to cover all such arcs, yet they crammed as much as they could into the film - including Mean Machine Gang. I’m surprised they didn’t cram “The Apocalypse War” and Judge Death in there.
I do like the set design in the film, the outfits, the special effects, etc. But, really, none of that matters when I consider how bad the storyline is - and the removal of his helmet.
In an ideal world, we’d have had about four Dredd films by now. Seems odd that in 29 years, we’ve only had 2 (I’m surprised the Urban film didn’t get a sequel).

As you all no doubt know, Michael Eury, editor of BACK ISSUE, is retiring. This was shared on Facebook, it’s nice:
