Made you look !
But seriously,
if you could pick one creator's work and one publisher that you could get a free lifetime subscription to, who would you pick and why ?
Dan Clowes
With flashes of Robert Crumb, Clowes knocks it out of the park every time with everything I've ever seen from him.
As far as Fantagraphics, they have some of the best stuff in the world from the likes of Winsor McCay, Carl Barks, Charles Schulz, EC Comics, Jack Cole, Robert Crumb, Bill Griffith, Barry Windsor-Smith, Jim Woodring, the Hernandez Bros, Drew Friedman, Johnny Ryan, Kim Deitch, Bill Everett, Joe Kubert, Tony Millionaire, Jack Jackson, Bill Sienkiewicz, Wally Wood, Roy Crane, Jules Feiffer ...

Good picks, but I'd rather have a free subscription to something I'm interested in, but not 100% down with.
I'm already happy to hand over my money to Fantagraphic on a regular basis.
So I guess I would maybe get a free sub to Dark Horse, as they tend to release an increasing number of original series I may want to try out, but at $3.99, I 'm almost always out. I tend to only follow the Hellboyverse there these days, but there's so many Kindt, Lemire, Bunn books there that seem to be on the higher end of those creators respective spectrum (I bought Mind MGMT back then).
Right now, maybe I would chose Tom King as my creator free subscription, as he seems to have a healthy production, and I've enjoyed most of what I've read, but I wouldn't wanna pay 3.99$ for that many DC books.

Creator - Probably Ed Brubaker. He's one creator that I will follow on almost anything.
Publisher - Well if it includes the Library of American Comics books then IDW is number one with a bullet.

No one. My tastes change over time & I find creators I really liked years ago I no longer enjoy like I did. The only one that I would have considered? Joe Kubert.

It might be boring, but I'd pick Marvel.. I could sell the ones I didn't want to get (some of which likely will end up valuable, especially if it includes variants), and get other stuff I do want.
For creator, I'd be tempted to take Kurt Busiek, but since he's older and not super productive, I'd probably take Jason Aaron.

Creator - Probably Ed Brubaker. He's one creator that I will follow on almost anything. Publisher - Well if it includes the Library of American Comics books then IDW is number one with a bullet. Ed Brubaker would be mine too if it is limited to living creators (though if I took the sub to a publisher listed #1 below, I would get all his stuff anyways). Terry Moore or Warren Elllis would be second/third for me. If it included collections of deceased creators works, I might consider Moebius. As far as publishers go, probably Image. There are so many interesting books coming out form them these days. Way too many to buy them all. I trade wait a lot and pick up a handful, but read a lot more via Hoopla. The other I might consider is FirstSecond Publishing, which does a lot of interesting OGNs that barely make any noise int he direct market but sell well in the book trade, and feature a wide range of genres and creators. -M

I could choose any 1 of these: any of them provides wondrous art, creative writing and grand entertainment that is easily appreciated and can be read again and again many times over.
Alex Raymond Hal Foster E. C. Segar Lee Falk Charles Schulz Jack Kirby

If you're talking about a publisher's content going forward, there really isn't one. Modern comics, for the most part, don't interest me, as I currently only get three books (probably soon to be two, depending on how the new Aquaman looks) monthly and just one (I Hate Fairyland) in TPBs only.
Historically, I'd say DC, only because I own pretty much 99% of the Marvel books I'm interested in as either floppies or in collections.
As for a single creator, I don't have one I would want everything from.

Jaime Hernandez, but then I’d feel guilty of not giving him money that he fully deserves!
As for a publisher, mmmmh... maybe Drawn and Quarterly or La Pastèque.

Tough call ... probably the Hernandez brothers, or if I have to choose just one, maybe Gilbert, even though I think Jaime has been doing the better work in L & R the last few years.
Clowes would be a candidate, though I've fallen way behind in my reading of his stuff. Garth Ennis and Warren Ellis would also be possible. Maybe Morrison, though both he and Ellis do too much superhero work for my liking.
If Denis Sire was more prolific I'd consider him, but he doesn't produce many comics. Barry Windsor-Smith seems to have retired altogether.
I might well have said Alan Moore if he hadn't announced his retirement from the comics medium.

I'm going to cheat and list Los Bros Hernandez as a unit (but really their output outside of L&R is minimal). I didn't expect this to be such a popular choice!
Publisher ... not sure ... maybe one of the new independents doing transgressive work, like Aftershock or Black Mask.
