We went out to visit my in-laws yesterday and stopped in the Wallyworld there. I found this on clearance...  not a fan of Injustice (the game or comic) but it's a decent Dr. Fate figure for $10. -M Was hoping that with the Black Adam movie (flop or not) would encourage DC to give Fate another run. He's a fairly interesting character that's only really had two volumes and a mini-series (not counting the golden age either) |

Here are a few more recent purchases. The Captain Carrot really takes it for me, but also so happy they made this new Crystar, and I couldn't resist the "pink Riddler" animation homage!  |

The problem I have with Carrot is the same problem I had with the Howard The Duck figure, they focused on making him "too realistic" looking instead of cartoony. And I know Howard basically conforms to the MCU version because of Disney, but still... |

And I know Howard basically conforms to the MCU version because of Disney, but still... Oh yeah, I would love a more classic one too even though I like the one I got! They did do this alternate as well which gets more the classic costume but not a cartoony head sculpt. If it had that as well, I'd be at least a little tempted to pay the extra $$$ those go for!  |

The Captain Carrot looks like it's taking it cue form the version of Captain Carrot that appeared in Dark Crisis and was part of the Justice League Incarnate rather than the one in the more cartoony 80s series...  -M |

I normally don't keep the packaging for my toys, but sometimes something is too cool to discard like the 1st appearance comic book cover on the slipcase for this black light Mr. Freeze figure (obviously the figure is not intended to be an accurate 1st appearance though):  I also love old school carry cases for figures, and Super7 made these TMNT themed ones for their ReAction line though obviously works for plenty of similar scaled figures. BBTS had these really deep discounted so I picked up two, just started to fill the first one with some of my Joes!   |

Honestly wasn't going to buy this until I ran across it at Target earlier today. I'll probably resell the Batman because it's just a repaint with the Batfleck head scylpt. I really want to complete this Plastic Man build a figure though!  |

I was checking for the new wave of Super Powers at the local Wallyworld, and didn't find any, but I found another Bug, this time on clearance, so I snapped it up. Renders the decision to open the first or keep it MIB moot. Now I can do both.
