Anyone here into the Masters of the Universe Classics from MattyCollector? I have been in it from prior to the sub. Didn't know if anyone here collected those, as well.

I wanted to like them, but, of the few I've seen, the quality doesn't warrant the immense price point. I have the Faceless One, and I like him well enough, but I bought Aurora for my daughter, and both the sculpt and face art are pretty lousy.
I heavily considered buying that Castle Greyskull, though. Has it been released yet? Do you have it?

Yeah, I was in on the line before they had the sub program. While there are a lot of figures that have issues, there are lots that don't. Most of this is nostalgia driven for me. Castle Grayskull came out last year around Christmas. I did pick it up and it is pretty awesome! I am a fan of minor characters, so while many were screaming about those types of figures, I enjoyed them. I am not part of the group think crowd and am a completist. I am happy anytime we get something MOTU related. I am not buying into the Giants line, but I am buying the mini-masters and will sub for that next year. To me, the Giants are not worth the cost by any means. I used to have 3 subs (I was buying for a friend of mine in Australia) and I just bumped down 2 since he dropped.
Overall, I have been really happy with line. There have been a few misses, but I think as a well rounded collector, you have to take the good with the bad. The original line was the same way and people tend to forget they didn't want every character back then either. Too many folks only want their favorite figures or factions made and realistically the line wuld never have survived as long as it has if they didn't mix it up. SO while people can moan and complain about characters offered, they wouldn't have half of the figures they wanted if Matty didn't do it this way. I am in no way a Matty fan, but it seems there may have been a method to the madness. I am glad they have done all the extras they have...the sky sled was great and the second part of the vehicle is coming this December, I think, but they certainly make you pay a pretty price for it.

Did the original MotU line have some playset with slime? I have really strong memories of my mom and aunt leaving me and my cousin home with my dad and the two of us getting slime ALL OVER the kitchen. I feel like Skeletor was involved, but he may have just been in the wrong place at the wrong time.

I think that was the slime pit or the Fright Zone, but yes, there was such a thing...;-)
