I'm one of the few that didn't think the first season was horrible, horrible. I thought it was okay. Season 2 looks more exciting.

I wasn't too sure about this, but that actually looked pretty good.

Fight choreography still looks dreadful - no-one in the whole trailer looks like they know how to punch correctly, they're all throwing wild west haymakers, punches and kicks are blatantly missing the opponent by huge margins; and Finn Jones still can't act, though at least he appears to have discovered how to speak without doing that sub-Batman throaty whisper thing he was doing in the last series.
I'm slightly less enamoured with the mask than RR - I thought it looked unbelievably stupid when worn by IF and Davos, IMHO (strangely not so bad on the corpse). In common with all the Netflix films, the more comic book elements (Punisher & DD costumes, IF mask) just look ridiculous in a "realistic" world

Oh, I don’t want Iron Fist to actually wear the thing on screen... I’m just surprised that the mask actually works, as super-hero costumes rarely do when worn for real. For my money, I’d rather have characters dress as they do in Luke Cage or Jessica Jones, with just a little Easter egg once in a while (Cage’s stolen yellow shirt or accidental tiara, for example).

Just finished the second season. I appreciated how Danny is made much more likeable in this one; he was kind of whiny and annoying in season 1 and in Defenders, but here he showed some welcome maturity and sense of responsibility. The conflict with Davos was a sensible plotline to show the further development of Danny’s character, and it brought some genuine emotional involvement. It’s much harder to stop a villain when he’s your own brother! The supporting cast was also more convincing than in the first series, even if their role was more subdued. Ward not simply being a jealous brother figure and Joy not merely being a vengeful sister/daughter were wise choices; we’ve had enough of one-dimensional characters. Their finding some measure of redemption, especially since it wasn’t a slobbering one, was a good move. The Orson Randall references sent me cheering, and I’m really curious to know how Danny {Spoiler: Click to show}recovered the fist at the end. Surely Orson’s guns have no power on their own ! Nice teaser for an eventual season 3, there. All in all, while Iron Fist season 1 was Marvel’s weakest Netflix entry to fate, this second season was much more enjoyable.

At least we’re not left hanging with an unresolved plotline, but I would have liked to see it go on. I doubt the matter of what happened to K’un-Lun and how {Spoiler: Click to show}Danny got the iron fist back would be suitable material for the other Marvel series, should Iron Fist guest star at some point in the future.

I tend to think that it'll either be ignored, or will end up as a throwaway line of dialogue in one of the other shows. If not that, then probably something like the way they dealt with Thor's lightening powers in Ragnorak -- that he {Spoiler: Click to show} never really lost the powers, and that he can channel them again if he *really* believes in himself.

By the way RR -- as a martial artist, thought it may interest you to know that I have a bit of a distant connection to the show. The fight choreographer for season 2, a guy by the name of Clayton Barber, competed in the same martial arts tournament circles as I did back in the 80s and 90s. We never crossed paths ourselves (he's a bit older than me, so was competing in senior divisions while I was still a junior), but he matched up against several of the fighters from my own studio.

That’s pretty cool! I fear that my own connection to the show is that after my bike accident last spring, I had steel pins and a plate in the arm for a while... so I technically had something of an iron fist!

Marvel and Netflix announced today there will not be a third season of Iron Fist making it the first of the Marvel series on Netflix to be cancelled. -M Well today they announced Luke Cage is also cancelled and won;t have a third season, so it's not about ratings or reception of Iron Fist, as Cage had much better of both and was still cancelled. Somethig is shifting witht heMArvel Netflix deal somewhere. -M
