Nice. I backed it! Two of these issues were reprinted in the 80's with a Willy Schultz logo, but Charlton went under before they got any further.

If there was one Charlton series worth collecting and funding, it's this one. Franz wrote mature, gripping stories and Sam Glanzman did a bang up job, on the art. These were up there with the best of the DC war comics and the EC books. Franz did his research and Sam had a great swipe file for the arms and equipment.

...and almost 2 years after getting funded, this book is apparently going to be sent out. It is in fact finished, as the .pdf version has been made available for download. I'm happy, since that's all I pledged for anyway.

Yeah. He's had serious issues getting his books out. I know that he claimed to have had money taken from him by a vendor, but that didn't stop him from making more Kickstarters that are still hanging out. I've downloaded the PDF. I'm not remotely convinced I'll ever see an actual book.

Today, I finally received this book (yes, a physical copy) in the mail.
Actually it's a nice edition released under the Dark Horse & It's Alive publishing umbrellas. HC around 250 or so pages, all chapters reprinted with a new final chapter drawn by Wayne Vansant. A preface piece by Will Ganz, lengthy intro and afterword, all the Fightin' Army issue covers that carried the serial are reprinted here as well.
I too had very slim hope of ever seeing this book given the unfortunate circumstances that enveloped Ford after this Kickstarter (including his passing) and his wife as she tried to fulfill all the orders. So I'm just glad to finally get it.

I wonder what the percentage of delivered KS is ? Anyone that fails to send books out, only gets to rip off their fans once, I imagine.
