A #1 first print was still in my file folder at my lcs when I stopped in today,which they would have sold to me at cover, but I asked them if they could make more selling to someone else if I passed on it since I was debating waiting on the trade to begin with, and they said oh yeah, so I let them have it, and they had sold it for about 5x cover by the time I had left the shop. The owners are con friends of mine, so I didn't mine doing them a solid. They are going to give me first crack at any promo material they get for the Conan launch as a thank you, so it will work out for me too. -M That seems like an excellent trade! |

It'll be interesting to see if issue 1 is edited for the trade, or if they'll use the controversy as an excuse to have a 'uncut' edition along with an edited one. (or maybe it'll just be in the Absolute)
IMHO, it makes no sense to release a line that you advertise as creators doing what they want, then getting upset about the content. It definitely make me less interested in the imprint as a whole.
edit: I was just checking out ebay.. looks like CGC 10 issues peaked over $2000 for the ban... the latest sales have it back to $500-$700 talk about a quick profit (if you bought at retail, or even 5x retail) and loss (if your timing was bad)!

An 'uncut' edition? Well Bruce isn't Jewish after all so I guess that's accurate.
I have no interest in the comic, but having seen the panels online it struck me as gratuitous. If it had been part of a love scene with Selina, fine, but it just seemed to be put there to flash the reader and generate controversy.

Bermejo had to redo 4 pages of #2 because of the wah-wah over the Batawang in #1. Arrant BS as far as I'm concerned. Looks like it will released next week.
After reading the issue, I bet I can guess where those pages might have been. |
