BATMAN BEYONDRobbie as Terry Michael as an Older Bruce Wayne I was talking to a dear friend of mine yesterday and he showed me this clip should MICHAEL KEATON should play an OLDER BRUCE WAYNE and have ROBBIE AMELL to play the Young Terry McGinnis and I was thinking about this for the past 24 hours and this movie idea is not in the works and I have a friend of mine in my LCS mentioned to me of this idea and totally forgot about it and Keaton is 67 and Amell is 30 a very young 30 could pull it off. A seasoned actor in his mid 20's to early 30's would be much better and the video clip has some promising actors; but Robbie is my Number 1 choice here. I would love to see this movie in the heartbeat and knowing if Keaton wanted to do this movie and I hope he will and I'm a huge Keaton fan and loved to see him as an aging Bruce Wayne all all that. This movie concept is an idea and not be developed yet and was even discussed at the LCS that occasionally go to and many Batman Forever fans are clamoring for this movie to come out. There are 30-40 members at my LCS that I go to ... seriously wants this movie to be developed and hopefully come off the ground. This is only an idea and I'm a huge BATMAN BEYOND fan myself and I have all the DVD's associated with this great series back then. I'm really curious about your reactions are and I've welcome your input on this concept of a movie.

I've always thought that would be a fun idea, a sort of spiritual sequel to Batman 1989 and Batman Returns which would be fitting as Beyond was a sequel to the Animated Series which itself was tied into the films. As an added bonus, in my fan cast I'd want Tim Burton to direct once again to add to that sequel feel.

I hadn't realised that he was 67 since he looks so much younger. You know, I'd actually love to see Keaton just pick up where he left off rather than return as Batman but with the caveat that he's Older Batman. Yeah, yeah, he's 67 but they could make him look younger. First of all, I never got into Batman Beyond for a number of reasons but the biggest roadblock is none of those "Batman has passed his mantle on to someone else" stories have done anything other than convince me that only Bruce Wayne works as Batman. Not Dick Grayson, not Brane Taylor, not Bron Wayn E7705, not Azrael, and certainly not Terry McGinnis. It's like having Watson throw on a deerstalker and asking people to start calling him Holmes.
The Burton films were great and seemed ready to go on forever with each installment building on the previous while adding something new before they got sidelined in favour of those lousy Joel Schumacker films. Seeing Keaton as a Batman at the end of his career would feel strange to me as we've only ever seen him at the start of his career. Plus, even at 67 he doesn't have that grizzled, beaten down look the role requires - Clint Eastwood could pull it off, but Michael Keaton? This is a guy who just went toe to toe with Spider-Man and didn't break a sweat - he could play Batman again.
Great question though!

Give me a Dark Knight Returns-esque final Batman film in the continuity of the Burton films.
And give us an actual ending, not the weird café might be a dream sequence ending.

I'm not sure Keaton looks broken down enough to be Batman Beyond Bruce, but it would be awesome to have that connection to the Burton films... I'd take it.
