Firstly, apologies for disappearing after registering here a couple of months ago. I am honoured to be on this forum, and I have been "lurking" every day. I am proud to be here, and have been posting in other threads. I look forward to being more active here, I was absent mainly for work reasons. I thought a good idea for a topic (the first of many, I hope) would be to share a cover based around a particular theme. Just one. Any publisher, any era. For the first such topic, assuming the idea takes off, I thought we could share a cover pertaining to TIME TRAVEL. Feel free to comment on your choices, but it's fine if you just want to share the cover. Here's mine, from a time when the Dynamic Duo travelled back to prehistoric times:

Well, this is one of my favorite Time Travel stories. It's 1998 and the Thing travels to 1998. But it's the 1998 as if the Fantastic Four did start in 1961, with all the Marvel Universe aged appropriately. All the heroes have aged, some have passed away. Its the MU without the constant origin point moving forward. This book had a profound effect on me. Growing up with the Silver Age, I started it was getting hard to reconcile the characters i knew, Ben and Reed fighting WWII, Peter Parker hanging out a Village Coffee Shops, etc. It was the start of me letting go of the Marvel Universe. It took a few more years. And stories like One More Day and the obsession with Big Events finally turned me away. But this book still resonates. I wonder if the lack of responses might be because we have a weekly themed Cover Contest and the very popular Cover Association threads.

Thanks for sharing that.
If more prudent and sensible, I will focus my efforts on those threads so as to avoid redundancy. :-)

No need, this is an interesting idea, I was just speculating why you weren't getting responses. Sometimes you eat the bear......

There are a couple in this thread that I haven't seen before, so that's very rewarding. But good choices from everyone!
