Classic Cover Contest: December 19 to December 25: 'Zat You Santa Claus?!Since it's the week before Christmas, Let's be obvious and highlight covers that show one or more established characters dressed as and/or acting as Santa Claus. As always... - Post one, and only one, classic cover that fits the theme of the contest.
- Cover must be from a published comic book or collected volume published before 1 January 2008.
- Covers must be posted before voting begins.
- Voting takes place on Tuesday, 25 December 2018, beginning at 12:01am PST and ending at 11:59am PST.
- Vote by posting the name of the poster whose cover best fits the theme or that you simply like the most.
- Put the name of your choice in bold.
- The winner of the contest is the entrant with the most votes after the voting period ends.
- The winner chooses the theme for the next week's contest.
- If you don't think the cover fits the theme, don't vote for it; please don't post disparaging remarks about it.
- If a cover is more recent than the classic time frame, kindly point it out so that the poster can choose an alternate before voting begins.
Good luck and Merry Christmas!

Let me know if this counts. Cause it's so cool. Apparently, Peter David had problems with a comic book store owner in my home town of Winnipeg named Joe Krolik. Something about Krolik often having problems with the comics David (this was when he worked for Marvel as a distributor) sent out to his store Styx. I can definitely see Krolik being unreasonable as he had that type of reputation (in my own dealings, I found him to be likable, but he would pull stunts too such as jack up the price of a comic if he felt it had been in his bin too long when you'd come up to the register. I can't really say it was dishonest since he'd tell you was doing it as he was ringing it through, but it did make him seem a bit smarmy. Anyhoo, David named a criminal in this issue 'Joe Krolik' after the Styx (later Comics America) owner. Probably the only comic I can think of that ties in with Winnipeg.

Operating as a "co-Santa" here. (There are a maximum of 34 covers remaining on week 18 of my secret personal cover contest challenge!)

First thing that came to mind was this... wintery sky and landscape, classic Fawcett graphics, is that mac Raboy art in part maybe? Always imagined having a sharp set of early '40s Marvel Family titles including this one...
