I'm a pretty mediocre artist who mainly specializes in (increasingly inept) collages, so there isn't too much under my belt I'm very proud of. Regardless, I thought I'd share some of the better/more interesting pieces I've made. Supergirl (Earth 1938)This is the drawing I'm currently working on. It's the first real drawing I’ve worked on since 2017. It's a depiction of the Supergirl from the universe of my Superman Trilogy. I plan on colouring it digitally once the line work is done.

"mediocre"? That is talent! Looking forward to seeing more! I'm totally reliant on references to produce a figure of any quality, and my grasp of perspective, lighting, etc. is utterly shot. I appreciate the kind words, though.

The finished version of Supergirl (Earth 1938): I had some reservations about giving her blue lipstick, but then thought "What the hell. It goes with her eyes and costume."

I was going to say the 'abs' sort of stick out/draw attention, but then in color it works! The best person to look to for constructing figures might be Gil Kane. In interviews he talked a lot about seeing through any subject and how it was put together, how it sits with other objects. He spoke of visualizing the components in your mind in three dimensions (or seeing through a photo, the basic structures) and like a muscle being exercised and built up drawing will start to come easier. Dick Giordano said something about if you want to you can, it is all learnable. It's definitely a struggle to make things work on the paper like you envision though, but would one be as motivated if something came easily? I say I'd like to try that out and see; plug in a Kane or Giordano piece of brain into me and I'll be happy to be bored drawing as well as they could!

AinadCorky CorcoranMaraThree older drawings. I worked on these at a time when I had trouble drawing naturalistic hair and so went for a semi-abstract look. Honestly, I think your approach to the hair here is inspired. I'm really digging it, especially Mara!

Nicely Done and the Colors really pops and I just loved the boots, the richness of the red cape and the yellow trim on Superman's Shield ... Duragizer. Thanks for sharing it.

I wasn't fond of the proportions of the head and right shoulder of my Supes pic, so I made some adjustments. Kinda looks like Clint Eastwood in a Superman costume now, but it's more symmetrical.

A quick-and-dirty rendering of Bizarro: [EDIT] Tidied up the shading on the black parts.

Trance Gemini (Coda Future)
This is a depiction of Trance Gemini from the TV series Andromeda. This is how I imagine the character might’ve evolved if Robert Hewitt Wolfe had been kept on as showrunner and allowed complete creative control — essentially the same character seen in the first season-&-a-half, just more mature and physically assertive.
