I'm a snob when it comes to manga as most doesn't appeal to me.
I haven't read Battle Angel Alita but it's got a lot of buzz and the girlfriend and I are going to see the movie probably this weekend.
Has anyone else seen it or plans to ?
Has anyone read the manga ?

I read a bit of the manga a long time ago.... I don't remember it that well. I'll probably go see it, though, as it's a pretty fun concept and the previews look decent.

I'm in the process of re-reading the manga and finished the first four U.S. volumes so far. Overall it's good; some have more character development and some are all action. I thought the second volume was better than the first. It's certainly well-drawn, though styles are subjective.
I've seen the OVA a few times but not recently.
I'll probably see the new movie soon; I've got a free pass on my Regal card that is wanting to be used.

I hardly read manga, and rarely see anime, and knew barely anything going into Alita, but the girlfriend and I both liked it.
Would definitely see a sequel if it happens.

Saw it this afternoon and really liked it. It deviated in a couple small ways from the comic and compressed a bit but was largely faithful.
