I wasn't familiar with the source material, but I had some time this past Saturday and decided to watch the first episode. It was OK, but nothing that made me crave watching the rest of the series.
So, if anyone else has watched it, can you, in a non-spoilery way, tell me if it's worth continuing or do I just chalk it up as an hour of my life that I'll never get back?

I read it years ago when it first came out.
It had a vague Morrison-esque feel to it but I don't remember a thing about it other than that.

Like a lot of the Netflix hero shows it gets better as it goes building up to some really strong character moments that are really great to see.

I watched the series and was disappointed by it. The budget means that the wildly weird world from the comics is rather mundane in the TV-series (the kids first mission in the comics: fight the Eiffel Tower that has gone berserk. In the TV-series: stop a bankrobbery). Also stretching the series out to 10 episodes and combining the first two series is not doing the series any favours. Lots of drama that is not in the original series.

Just started watching this today. I haven't read the source material but there's a talking monkey in this so I'm in.

Netflix sent me an e-mail saying Season 3 is out. Enjoyed the first episode a lot.

I enjoyed the first three seasons. I expect any TV show version of a comic book to tone down the nonstop action in favor of lots of scenes of people talking about their feelings. This show is the rare case that worked to the series' advantage. The comic book is such a blizzard of wacky concepts fired like a machine gun, but without much character development. The show fleshes the kids out into real characters with, yes, the expected family and romantic melodrama. Basically the comic and the show are two complimentary takes on overlapping material, and I appreciate each for what it is.

I enjoyed Season 4, though I wish it had been longer. There's been a ton of backlash against it online, but that's been happening a lot lately with streaming shows. I feel like people are starting to push back against these streaming shows.

I've watched 5 eps of the season yesterday, Will watch the series finale after work. Really enjoying it so far! Robert Sheehan, Eliott Page, and Aidan Gallagher are great as always, and really enjoying the goofiness of Dan Castañeda (Diego) and Tom Hopper (Luther) as well. There were at least two scenes that were a bit much for me in grossness, but overall very good I think.
