I can think of worse teams to be working on it, I suppose. I don't love them on Peacemaker, though.

I'm wondering if this type of humor book can do well in sales. A few Years back Dc had a Hitman spin off mini series All Star Section Eight, By Ennis and Jon Mcrea that didn't do too well.

Probably low 10K. Are they Humor Books ? I guess it depends on how you define the term. They have a strong humor element (esp. Squirrel Girl, as you might expect from its title), but they are not humor in the sense of old-style Archie. More hybridized action/comedy.

You implied that those two books were breakaway hits, I think most of the Marvel line is a few bad months from being canceled. Of course the x-factor is what type of sales they have in collected trades and digital.

Of course the x-factor is what type of sales they have in collected trades and digital. I did not intend to imply that they were breakaway hits. I had no knowledge of their sales one way or another, hence the question. I was just thinking of them as superhero humor books, as a point of comparison.

Ms. Marvel sells more in trades through Scholastic alone than any Marvel trade sells in the direct market. Moon Girl and Squirrel Girl are also top sellers through Scholastic. Scholastic sells directly to school age kids, which means those sales are creating fans who will still be buying those properties long after most of us are dead and gone.
The only ones who don't seem to appreciate books like this are the old guard Wednesday Warriors who take funnybooks way too seriously and seem personally offended when someone publishes something that doesn't fit into the small box of what they think comics should be.

I have been a Wednesday Warrior since the 1970s and I think these are two of the best books Marvel is currently producing.

Indeed... Isn't Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur the longest running Marvel Title at present?
