Weeks ago when I went to the comic book shop to catch up on old back issues of Alpha Flight, NOW Comics Ghostbusters, old Incredible Hulk, random old issues of Fantastic Four etc.
As I was looking through old Fantastic Four issues of 583 to 587 theres this Valeria Richards daughter of Reed and Susan I assume? When did Reed and Susan have the time for another kid anyway?

Here are the basics...She was introduced in 1999, in FF #15 (when Marvel was on a restart kick, which they abandoned in favor of legacy numbering, yadda yadda yada). Claremont was involved; but, others messed with things after. Lot of turmoil for the FF, in terms of trying to find storylines that actually drew in readers; something it struggled with since Stan & Jack. Maybe someone should consult Brad Bird.

Wow, I always assumed that Valeria was the miscarried child from FF # 267 " brought to life" by time magic.

That Wikipedia page having given me a headache, I hope whoever writes Fantastic Four nowadays will just go with “Valeria is Reed and Sue’s daughter”.
Who needs yet another time-displaced parallel universe offspring from alternate future selves?

That Wikipedia page having given me a headache, I hope whoever writes Fantastic Four nowadays will just go with “Valeria is Reed and Sue’s daughter”. It was badly written. Yet, it seems every comic has a parallel universe character walking around in the cast.

Lotsa Rachel Summers nowadays. Didn't Marvel just introduce the alternate-dimension adult son of a rebooted and younger time-displaced telekinetic techno-organic cyborg, himself the son of a real-world mutant shooting rays from his eyes and the clone of a demon-possessed Phoenix avatar? It's amazing how the world of comic books allows us to write down sentences that the English language never saw before (nor is likely to ever see again).

Is "Valeria" pronounced "Vuh-lair-ee-uh" or "Valerie-uh"?

I read Millars run and she was like 7 years old and smarter than Reed. It got to be annoying.

I've read alot of those FF comics around that time and I had no idea she was meant to be from anywhere but being Reed and Sue's daughter... in fact, I have memories of the storyline that Doom somehow tricked/forced them into naming her after his mother... she was created by Byrne when Reed and Sue were living in the 'burbs?

Sue was carrying a baby that miscarried in Byrnes run. I always thought this was that baby. I have to re- read those issues.

I think I read somewhere that she was indeed the same baby, magically saved from not being born by Franklin's oh-so convenient Deus Ex Machina powers. Maybe that was some fan theory, though, or it could have been retconned in recent years. Modern Marvel continuity is something of an oxymoron.

Just setting the record straight here:
Claremont introduced Valeria von Doom: the miscarried daughter of Sue and Reed that Doom went back in time to save, so he could show Reed that he was superior to him. She returns as a member to the team from the future having inherited her mothers powers for a while, basically being Rachel Summers.
Mark Waid later had her reborn in the current time, this time the child stayed with Reed and Sue (though Doom did assist in the birth in exchange for naming the child, so she is still called Valeria). Millar later reveals that young Valeria is hyper-intelligent, but does not have any superpowers (bit of contrast with Franklin, who has powers, but has normal human intelligence). That Valeria has been pretty much a mainstay of the FF for the last 10+ years.
