The finale seemed rushed to me. The plot points really needed more time, and it felt like no sort of relationship was established between Batman and Gordon. Gordon just accepts that this caped fellow is a good guy the first time he encounters him, and the next time they meet is the big showdown at Ace Chemicals where they don't share any dialogue. Not bothering to build a rapport between Batman and Gordon is a big disappointment when Gordon was treated as being like a father to Bruce for so much of the show. A bunch of other elements seemed half-baked as well, from Gordon just deciding not to retire for no reason and the whole Joker plot. I feel like if they made it a 2-hour finale they could have done a much better job.
