I nominate the Classic Archie Discussion for best classic (non-review) thread. Archie is a true cornerstone of American comics... and a significant part of American culture, period. It's a lot of fun to see how the several Archie series evolved over time, including the forays into mystery stories. I was surprised to learn that Gray Morrow and Alex Toth had contributed to some Red Circle comics... Always trust the members of this community to teach me something!!!*edit * Well, next year perhaps.

*edit * Well, next year perhaps. First I don't get the Advance Warning for The Jamies up in time. Then I start a cool discussion AFTER the deadline. It's like I did this to you on purpose

I nominate Reptisaurus! 's Why Did We Need 17,000 Richie Rich Titles?. It was a subject I'd never really considered previously, and the conversation that ensued taught me quite a bit about a publisher and genre to which I'd never previously given much consideration. I love that this community is still teaching me about new areas of comicdom after all these years.

And I nominate profh0011 for his classiccomics.org/thread/6028/edgar-allan-poe. I have always been intrigued with Poe and this really digs deep and scratches my itch in all the best ways.

I nearly chose this myself, but ultimately felt it qualifies as a review thread. So...can you convince me it isn't?

I nearly chose this myself, but ultimately felt it qualifies as a review thread. So...can you convince me it isn't? Most reviews threads review a specific title or character or even publisher (as codystarbuck has done). This follows a historical event across many titles and several publishers. If it is a review thread it is very very different from any other review thread here on this forum. It is a thread unlike any other thread here ... review thread or general discussion about Vietnam.
Fair enough. I personally disagree, but your nomination stands. Well argued.

Let me know. Up to you. I was going to nominate it for favorite review thread. Probably better not to split the vote, but you have earned the right to nominate it here if you prefer.

I nominate Comic Tidbits. It's fun to read about facts from the past and the thread sparked a few discussions that were interesting. I second the Edgar Allan Poe thread.

You can let the members of CCf decide but it reads like a review thread more than a thread analyzing the genre. That thread is very good, though.

I withdrew the Vietnam thread by crimebuster. Will definitely use it for the Review nomination unless shaxper beats me to it! Instead I nominate Bad Idea Corrected by Icctrombone. There were so many bad ideas over the decades. It was neat to discuss them in one place. It made me feel like I was in a LCS discussing stories.
