Couple of days ago I got Volume 3 of Complete Elfquest and it has the first couple issues of Hidden Years and Dreamtime.
Should I read all of Hidden Years from issue 1 to whatever then start reading Dreamtime or just read the first 5 or 8 issues of Hidden Years and then read Dreamtime?

That depends... alot of Hidden Years has the 2nd generation of characters, so if you want to get into them, you probably want to read it. Personally, I read most of them, but then kinda stopped after they imploded back to one title, then read 'Final Quest'.. I didn't feel like I missed much. I'll probably go back and get them at some point, it's just not super high on the list.. maybe next time I re-read from the beginning.

I was trying to figure out what it was I got after the original series. It was collected into TPB format, ordered directly from WaRP, was b&w inside and may've been Hidden Years, Dreamtime and/or Broken Wheel, but may've been something else entirely? Suntop and Ember were older and Ember a chief of a smaller group, and Winnowill was turned part fish and was at the bottom of the ocean or something. I bought them when I was in my non-comics reading phase and resold them after one read. I do still have the four color Starblaze editions of the original series, but not the b&w quartely magazines. Can't help anyone when I probably need more help myself.
