I was hoping for Swamp Thing myself. Hopefully The Demon, Etrigan will make an appearance. Would love to see that translation on TV. Whatever happened to the Justice League Dark movie...?

It was rumored Del Toro was interested in doing it, and he's talked about what he would do in a few interviews, but there has never been anything official said that such a thing is or was in development. I think it was wishful thinking on Del Toro's part and a lot of fans jumping on thinking it was rela because he was talking about it and wanting it to be real too. Could it happen? Sure. But no official confirmation this was anything more than rumors and wishful thinking was ever made. -M

Interesting that Dark was not mentioned at all in the slate of movies being released through 2020. Kind of sucks, because I think that would ahve been interesting to translate to the big screen.

The Justice League Dark was always just something Del Toro said he would be interested in doing. It was never actually a project under consideration by WB. People just assumed since Del Toro was a big name that DC would greenlight and pout the project into production since he was interested, but it was never part of their plan. People jumped to conclusions and ran with this when all it ever was, was a guy saying wouldn't it be cool if they did a movie like this and if they did this is how I would do it. The fact he was a filmmaker didn't make it any more real than any other fanboy doing the same thing in the back of a comic sop or an internet forum.

I think I read that too Mars.
Re-reading some Hellblazers from Comixology and greatly enjoying them, getting me pumped even more for the show.

I just watched this show - I recorded off my DVR and I say this show isn't all that cracked up to be and I did not think that the acting wasn't good at all. I just not cut out for this show and I thought it was a little too brooding as I speak about this show. I'm going to try to watch the next 2-3 shows and get a general feel of it and show remains as it is - I guess that I'm not a fan of it.
I tried to be fair with this show - but this show is not a good as ARROW and the FLASH that I liked so well. The lead actor of Constantine isn't that good and I have a hard time following it. The Story of the Pilot Episode is pretty much average and it's missing something from the Comic Books as well and I just can't put a finger on it.
I give the show a C- so far.

Episode 1 "Non Est Asylum" I've been excited about this given the quality of NBC's other horror shows. I thought they nailed the creepy mood quite well and there's lots of interesting visuals. The casting is pretty good and it was nice to see Harold Perrineau and Jeremy Davies show up. Matt Ryan is spot on as John Constantine despite the not smoking. Loved seeing the Doctor Fate helmet show up. The preview for the rest of the season looks good.

I liked it and am hopeful for its success.
Jaspers Winters - I couldn't help but keep thinking of Baron Winters from Night Force. Connection ?
Matt Ryan delivers the goods. The online trailer got me to really want to watch this, and a lot of that was due to him.

I also quite liked the pilot, they nailed the creepy aspects a good Hellblazer story should have and the acting and effects were quite good for a weekly network tv show. Much better than the tripe DC has been serving as a Constantine comic in the new52.

The show's debut was much better than I expected it to be. it has some promise for continuing with DC's supernatural universe. Always fun to spot the hidden easter eggs throughout the show.
