Foxley. Honorable mention to brianf. It sure was hard to pick only one cover this week. I’m surprised one of these didn’t show up: Not entries: I was sure the Wonder Woman cover where she's tied to a rocket or bomb or something would be someone's pick. But then, there are a whole slew of WW covers that could have been used. Right?! I thought for sure Wonder Woman would be a staple here. Boy, was I wrong. Maybe I should have went with her because I don’t think I’m winning this week.

...On the plus side, the Lois comics also featured the far more interesting Rose and Thorn. I collected them just for those stories... Rose and Thorn is awesome! A few years ago I was checking out the various online sites that reprint comic book letter columns and came across a lettercol from a Lois Lane issue. In one of the letters a reader lavishly praised the then-new Rose and the Thorn feature, claiming that R&T along with the Legion were the only things worth reading at "childish" DC. Well, the letterwriter was -- me!! I never actually saw that particular Lois issue that the letter was in back then, so seeing the letter after decades (of being away from comics) was quite a surprise.

Had a similar experience, not long ago, when I was doing my Charlton reviews, on my Other Guy's thread. One of my sources was Comic Book Artist, which had two issues devoted to the company; and, when looking over that run of issues, I ran across a letter I wrote, praising the first one, that I had completely forgotten I had written! I also, some time back, got a collection of Back Issue and looked at an issue devoted to Mike Grell. The main article went through Jon Sable and the section that discussed the tv series had a chapter heading: "So good it lasted 7 whole episodes!" That quote was from my review title for the series on IMDB! I had been the first person to review it, though I had the episode count wrong, and had said 6 episodes. As soon as I read it in that article, I wanted my retroactive credit, from the writer!
