Well, we just hit the first stretch goal, which is great. I appreciate all the support!
The campaign is definitely in the middle of the Dead Zone, or as I prefer to call it, we're becalmed. In the past I've had a lot of success cross-promoting with other campaigns during the slow middle to keep things moving, but the other creators currently live on the platform right now seem unusually resistant to it this time for reasons I haven't been able to figure out. 🤷♂️
Anyway, the next stretch goal at $1500 will fund two new trading cards. I love making the trading cards, and people seem to like them, so I'm hopeful we'll get there! 🙂

The campaign for The Crimebusters #4 ends tomorrow night at 9. It's been going very well. I had a small troll attack yesterday, which sadly seems to be becoming more common, but I expected it so no big deal - just some people who pledge with no intention of actually supporting you, and then back out at the last minute to try and tank the goal. But thanks to your support, this one was well out of range of them being able to affect things.
Thanks again to everyone who has supported me, I really appreciate it!

Just a note for people in this sub-forum, the new issue of my series Cthulhu vs. Uncle Sam is in the final week now. We've just eked out the funding goal so we'll see if we can get to the stretch goals over the next 6 days.
Also, I forgot to post here in the New Comics section about the Crimebuster 80th Annviersary Special that I did a couple months ago, which is a 100-page giant in the classic DC tradition, featuring a never before published cover by George Tuska. If you missed it I do have a few extra copies coming that are available as add-ons in the Chtulhu vs. Uncle Sam campaign.
Thanks for the support, everyone, I appreciate it!

There's less than 24 hours left in the campaign for Cthulhu vs. Uncle Sam #1-2, so I just wanted to drop a reminder for anyone who wanted to back but hadn't had a chance yet. We've hit the funding goal, so this will be getting made. Just trying to reach the stretch goals now to unlock all the fun bonus rewards!

Issue #5 of The Crimebusters is now LIVE on Kickstarter!
This one brings together some of the subplots from the first four issues, as well as our characters' different personal arcs, and sets up a lot of stuff for the next five issues, so I'm really excited to bring this to life!
It also features art from new artist Mac Radwanski, which I hope you like as much as I do. 🙂

Well, there ar ejust 6 days left and we've hit our stretch goal! We're also very, very close to hitting the first stretch goal as well, so I'm optimistic we're going to hit that and maybe a little more.
Thanks for all the support, everyone, I really appreciate it!

Finally got around to reading The Crimebusters #5 today. Wow, how far this book has come! I love the lavish new colors that really take advantage of the paper and print quality Crimebuster is using. The plot is rich, the mystery complex and fascinating, and the villains made for hilarious comic relief even while subtly hinting at something downright scary. As usual, the supporting cast seems far more fascinating and rich than Chuck and trixie themselves: Loover and Granny Gumshoe -- I want so much more from these two! One thing I'm torn on is the final reveal: it's clever, but I can't decide whether or not it's also supposed to be a gag. I found it hilarious, almost like it was ripped from the pages of The Tick, but I'm not sure I was supposed to. As for the new artist, I'm impressed. Yes, his artistic abilities are pretty good, but I'm even more impressed with what this tells us about how far Scott has come in bringing his dream to make comic books to reality. He's now got multiple titles, a long list of allies in the business, and now he even has a brilliant colorist and a competent penciler/inker working to help him turn out higher quality work faster. My only regret here is that I truly liked Scott's art. It was definitely inconsistent, but it was getting better. While Radwanski's art is consistent and professional-looking, Scott's best panels looked far far better, and I miss them. Scott, when you inevitably read this, I truly hope you'll consider at least penciling a backup every now and then. Your art was evolving into something truly special. You had a unique signature style that doesn't resemble anything else I've seen, and I'd love to see you take it to the next level. Anyway, keep these Crimebusters adventures coming! And if Loover or Granny ever get their own books, you'd better bet I'll be there!
