This is broad enough that I'm not sure there will be many overlapping picks at all. Tie breakers are going to be a problem! I can think of a couple famous fights that might make multiple lists, but I think we might have a 300-way tie for ninth place!

Yes, there could be quite a lot of duplicating if many go for the "big name" fights. This is why I am looking to make it "personal" with some rumbles I am fairly confident most won't be naming. And it will be fairly Marvel heavy as that is what I grew up reading the most of. I found my list looking very Marvelous as well. There's one DC. I would have liked to include something from the epic battle between Kaneda and Tetsuo, but I only saw Akira as anime, not manga.

It's the sharing and discussion itself that matter most.

Maybe it could be broken down into divisions to make it more comprehensive and interesting and to make more work for you shaxper? Hero versus Villain Hero versus Hero Marvel versus DC Movie Franchise versus Movie Franchise (ala Predator vs alien, Terminator vs Robocop, etc) Movie Franchise versus Hero (ala Predator vs Batman/Tarzan/Superman or Alien vs Judge Dredd, etc) I know, I know. As Bugs Bunny would say: ain't I a stinker?

Happy to report that I've finalized my own list. In addition to having my top ten worked out, I have seven honorable mentions (though I expect that list to grow throughout the event).
A few teasers for my personal top 10:
Marvel: 5 DC: 1 Mirage: 1 Dark Horse: 1 Aardvark/Vanaheim: 1 Tower: 1
1940s: 0 1950s: 0 1960s: 3 1970s: 2 1980s: 3 1990s: 2 2000s: 0

I threw together a slap dash list of about twelve fight scenes during lunch on Tuesday. I don't really have a lot of time this weekend to research my list and there's a number of comics that I don't have access to that I haven't read for a long time. So I'll be sticking with comics I still have and fight scenes that are fresh on my mind, which sadly leaves out A LOT of great fight scenes that I remember as being GREAT but I just don't remember them well enough to do them justice in my description.
And besides, this method is the only way that Justice League of America #60 would ever be on such a list!

I just want to say that I am really enjoying this event.
It has been no problem coming up with a list. In fact, it's whittling down the list that is the tough part. I could pick ten rumbles from the Hulk's book alone. Or Superman. Or Spider-Man. Or Batman...

Taxi, you broke the internet by listing a fight with all white panels.

This is proving to be a fun topic. I honestly could have come up with 50 rumbles. Whittling it down is the problem.

Like I said, I could easily come up with ten great rumbles for a single character alone...or even further ten great rumbles by a single hero in a single year of publication even. Sure, deep meaningful stories are great but sometimes I just want to see one brightly colored dude wail on another brightly colored dude. Bread and circus ain't a dirty word for me.

I am really impressed with all the creative thinking for everyone deciding their favorite rumbles! Here we are at day 6, over halfway through and NOT A SINGLE DUPLICATE as yet. There is truly more than 100 fights which could be chosen and it really isn't going to be a Top Ten kind of thing as with every post I am finding myself reminded of one I had forgotten or now reconsider and might rank higher or differently each day. A really great time with this one and truly fun and interesting reading and entertaining!

But the point remains that there are lots of great fights in comicdom.

When this started, I really only had my top 2 figures out (yet to be revealed) and have been flying by the seat of my pants through most of it, figuring out what I was going to pick for each day just before Shaxper posted the day's thread after brainstorming 3-4 possibilities and looking for images to use. But I actually had yesterday and today's figured out ahead of time. Tomorrow however, I have to pick from the 3 or 4 remaining choices that have come up during brainstorming, and I am not sure which will make the cut (two are of the eternal conflict of today's (day 7) pick, though one is not quite the traditional fight, more of a struggle between two characters with recurring physical consequences, and one is from one of the properties I have already represented, so the last one has the edge right now).
