Looking at the rules again, I had to change my selection to something exclusively created by Kirby...

Okay. I wasn't paying that much attention to the criteria. But Dubbilex certainly qualifies. And maybe the second Guardian.

I think I am interpreting this a little differently than some of you, but that's cool. Also cool: the Challengers of the Unknown by Darwyn Cooke.

I'm thinking of solo creations, so things like the New Gods, the Eternals, Devil Dinosaur, the Demon, etc, but NOT anything like, say, the Black Panther or Captain America. The series doesn't have to be a Kirby character, it could be the Avengers or Legion or JLA or anything at all, but it must feature a character created by Jack Kirby on his own, as the above Thor cover features the Forgotten One from the Eternals. Hmmm, I had some ideas, was ready to post...but then I re-read the OP. This is quite the challenge (pun intended), since co-creations like Cap (created with Simon), T'Challa, and other characters he did while at Marvel in the 1960s (my favorite era) are ineligible. Congrats on the win, berkley !

People need to read this again:
There are covers posted that don't meet this part.

posting this because I thought it was the best Kamandi story since Kirby himself. (I ran into the ten year limit with my first cover, so I'll change to issue #1. ) And the first page shows Ryan Sooks outstanding art on the strip.

posting this because I thought it was the best Kamandi story since Kirby himself. I thought about it too, but that particular issue is not quite 10 years old yet (It's Sept 2009). The first 4 issues of the series are eligible, but not the last 8. -M

People need to read this again: There are covers posted that don't meet this part. Sheesh; why don't you require they be left-handed teetotallers, while you're at it? (Razzafrazzin mumble grumble consarnin..................) Fine, how about this.... Stan had no part in the Surfer's creation and didn't know of his existence until Kirby turned in the pages.
