Green Lantern Annual 2019. Written by Grant Morrison. Art by Giuseppe Camuncoli. Do you remember Flash Vol 2 #136-138? In that 3 parter Wally raced Kyzz (an energy creature). Cover to Flash #137: Grant Morrison co-wrote the Flash with Mark Millar #130-138. It was an entertaining run that occurred right before Wally & Linda Park married in #142. Morrison revives Kyzz from that story arc. He also revives Air Wave II (Harold Jordan) as the Jordan family have a family reunion. In typical Morrison fashion this issue is Silver Age styled yet skewed through Morrison's unique viewpoint. So it's a bit weird but fun. I was entertained and Camuncoli's art was decent. 7/10.

Fantastic Four #12. Written by Dan Slott. Art by Sean Izaakse. Ben and Alicia FINALLY are able to go on their honeymoon... well until the Hulk shows up. But is it really the Hulk? And a back up story of the Future Foundation by Jeremy Whitley and Wil Robson. The main story features another Thing vs Hulk fight but with a twist. Looking forward to the conclusion next issue. I liked the art style on this story. The back up was a forgettable prologue to the new Future Foundation series launching next month. 7/10.

Marvel Comics Presents #7Written by Charles Soule, Ryan North and D.C. Pierson Art by Paulo Siqueira, Rod Reis and Alessandro Vitti Summary: Wolverine continues his hunt, the Winter Soldier encounters lost memories and Iron Man fights...Sub Prime Mortgage Man!? Plot: Yeah...take a second and read the last part of the above summary. Go ahead, I'll wait.
Done letting that sink in. Yup, in the Marvel Age segment which attempts to tell stories inspired by historical events Tony Stark confronted the Housing Crisis...and it's as bad as it sounds. This used to be my favorite segment, I loved the space race espionage flavored Fantastic Four and the civil rights Captain America story...but Iron Man deciding that if the courts won't punish the lenders he will by forcing them to wear armor and then fighting them is just bad any way you slice it. It has no subtlety and doesn't give us insight to the crisis or into Tony Stark. I really don't understand how an editor could read this and say, "Yeah, let's publish this." I honestly don't remember the last time I read a comic story this bad. As for the other features, the Winter Soldier story could have been better if the art let you know which parts were in the past and which were the present as it switched back and forth a few times with out telling you(I think) and it was hard to tell the difference. And the Wolverine story? The concept is still interesting but this chapter felt like filler as nothing of note really happened other than Wolverine and his daughter really meet and decide to go to Hell and stop the demon once and for all...it would have been better if we got some of that here rather than a few pages of Wolverine doing basically nothing. Grade:5/10
