I'm going to have an MRI on my brain in about a month (nothing serious), so brain health has been on my mind. Let's see covers that depict or mention something about mental health or illness. The rules of the game: - Post one classic cover that fits the theme of the contest. - Cover must be from a published comic book or collected volume published before August 2009. - Covers must be posted before voting begins. - Voting takes place on Tuesday, August 13th, beginning at 12:01am PST and ending at 11:59 pm PST. - Vote by posting the name of the poster whose cover best fits the theme or that you simply like the most. - Put your choice's name in bold. - The winner of the contest is the entrant with the most votes after the voting period ends. - The winner chooses the theme for the next week's contest. - If you don't think the cover fits the theme, don't vote for it; please don't post disparaging remarks about it. - If a cover is more recent than the classic time frame, kindly point it out so that the poster can choose an alternate before voting begins - Two posters may not share one cover. A classic example, the cover of the second Spider-Man comic that I ever bought. In the lower right-hand corner we see a classic psychiatrist's office:

I'm part of the world, and yeah, this just might drive me mad: And now the final countdown begins! If all goes according to plan, there are no more than 10 covers remaining in the secret personal cover challenge I've been engaging in for just over a year now! Here's a link that should include all my posts in the cover contests (including prior entries and comments in the contest threads). Can you spot the secret theme that links my entries over the past 53 weeks? Please don't spoil it if you do--the challenge is getting difficult for me now, as my options are increasingly limited! Can I find appropriate covers that satisfy the next 10 contests, whatever topic they may be? We shall see! Remember, I sit out contests for which none of my options qualify, and I only hit the 'like' on covers that could potentially have been ones I could have used somewhere along the way, so that's another hint! Also, I do have a backup plan that could increase the duration of this challenge, but I hope not to have to use it...
