I don't know if any of you have a crossover interest between the comics and tabletop RPG's, but Sanguine Productions have recently released a kickstarter for the second edition of the game. I thought I might leave a link here in case anyone was interested.

Wouldn't this be the third edition?
I'm really glad you posted this here, as I am absolutely interested so long as it is officially licensed by Stan!

Technically ... yes and no? There are two different versions of the game. The first to be published was by Gold Rush Games. The second, and the one pictured in the art on wikipedia, was by Sanguine Games. This is the third game to be published with the title, but it is a follow up to the Sanguine Games one. Which makes it a Second Edition of their game, unrelated to the first one.

Hmmm. The new listing shows five authors, whereas the 2005 edition only shows one. Perhaps that suggests significant revision?

I am not familiar with either edition, but looking at the reviews of the 2005 system on Amazon it is mentioned it used a streamlined version of the Iron Claw rpg rules (a system I am familiar with but have not played). Game play in Iron Claw uses several different dice types, from d4 to d12.
Reading through the blurb of the new edition it mentions only needing two six-sided dice, so it looks like it is a completely different rule system/game mechanic as the basis for it, so yes I would venture to say it is a major revision.
Again this is supposition based on what I read in the links provided, I don't know for sure.

Does anyone have experience playing this game? I'm just curious how it actually plays.

Does anyone have experience playing this game? I'm just curious how it actually plays. I ended up buying it for my future stepson, but he hasn't felt ready to mess with it yet. He's still working on his first D&D campaign. I'd like to sneak a look myself, but he wants first crack at it.

Getting close to the end of a Starfinder campaign with my D&D group... might have to see if I can convince them
