Marvel: Fantastic Four, Avengers, Journey into Mystery/Thor, The Silver Surfer, X-Men (the Neal Adams & Jim Steranko stuff, anyway) DC: Legion of Super-Heroes, Challengers of the Unknown, the Spectre. I really need to get around to reading Doom Patrol some day, though.

If you like the above DC, then possibly expand into Metamorpho, Adam Strange (in Strange Adventures), Phantom Stranger, Hawkman and Flash (your mileage may vary on all) since these were a few of the best.

Some silver age recommendations of goodness to enjoy:
The Brave and the Bold provides fun Haneyverse shenanigans while spotlighting Batman with various DC heroes and villains. Good way to view the DCU for variety.
Silver Surfer by Lee/Buscema can found in various formats. Grand ideas and artistry if you can tolerate the woe is me attitude of Norrin Radd.
X-Men before Adams by Lee/Kirby/Roth/Thomas and others while not high concepts it does capture a certain charm and mood of the times and reflects what the 60's "felt" like.
Daredevil reflects the street level persona that ol' Hornhead was and why everyone thought of him as a second rate Spider-Man for much of his career. But there is fun and interesting stories to be found alongside the lesser villainous characters.
DC "Lesser" knowns enjoyed a variety of series like Challengers of the Unknown, Blackhawk, Tommy Tomorrow, Rip Hunter, Tomahawk, Sea Devils, and others.
DC War comics were quite good in this time: Our Army at War with Sgt. Rock, GI Combat with Haunted Tank, Weird War Tales, Star Spangled War before and during the Unknown Soldier issues. All providing spectacular lead series along with others like Enemy Ace, War That Time Forgot, The Losers, etc....

One of my favorite '60s features was Weed of the Thunder Agents in the back of Dynamo. He was called Weed because he was shinny and always had a cig drooping from his mouth. I suspect he was designed after Wally Wood! The two stories I read (Dynamo #2 & 4) were genuinely funny and well drawn, he wore his Agent jacket but not this superhero outfit. Definitely a highlight of the Tower comics line when there was a solo Weed story!

I don't think I answered this. At this point I find a lot of "Silver Age" books a slog. But some I do still enjoy...
Bat Lash
Anthro
Mad Magazine.
I think Amazing Spider-Man still holds up pretty well as does a lot of Fantastic Four.
Enemy Ace.

MARVEL: Fantastic Four & Amazing Spider-Man are my favorite Silver Age comics. These 2 had some of the best consistent art and compelling stories of any other titles IMO.
DC: Justice League of America
