Welcome to the FIRST Analysis here at the new home of the Hall of Justice here at the Classic Comics Forums.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce myself and explain what the Analysis is. My name is Azraelms, real name Mike, I'm 43 years old, married with a 7 year old daughter, and I have been a member of the original Hall of Justice since the summer of 2008, back when the DC Universe Classics was in it's infancy and quickly on the way to becoming my favorite toy line - ever. I do collect other toy lines - Star Wars, WWE Wrestling, McFarlane NFL, and other random movie lines, but with the demise of Justice League Unlimited and DC Universe Classics, my DC toy purchasing has dropped quite a bit. The DC Collectibles are hit or miss, but it seems to be all New 52 and that is kind of a turn off for me for toys. And the prices on the DC Collectibles is a bit prohibitive for me.
I also have been reading comics since I was in first grade. I made it though the Crisis on Infinite Earths, Infinite Crisis, Flashpoint and all the changes in between. I was optimistic about the new 52 but have cooled off on it quite a bit. There have been some high points - Court of Owls, Forever Evil - but for the most part the characters have changed too much for me. We will see where they go in the forthcoming Blood Moon & possible crisis.
Now, so far it may seem like I dislike everything that DC has to offer these days - but that is not true. I like some of the New 52 comics - just not as much as I did before the Flashpoint event. The movies and television shows are very promising to me. I like the Multiverse figures that they have offered of Christopher Reeve Superman, Keaton Batman, and the other movie figures from that line.
I am really looking forward to the Superman v Batman movie, I am enjoying the Gotham and Flash television shows, and am anxiously awaiting news on the forthcoming Preacher television series.
So a while back I started doing this column that has gone through a few names - Sunday Analysis, Weekend Analysis, Weekly Analysis and now just The Analysis. It started as a strictly toy thing, but as the toy product has diminished, I have adapted it to cover everything DC. For the most part it is a consolidation of the news high points from the last week or so, occasionally commented on by yours truly. Originally it was a weekly column, but during the slower times I would go a week off as needed. A busy family life (wife working full time and in school full time and a very active 7 year old) also plays a part in it. So I will try to be on a weekly basis, but that is not set in stone. Not any specific day of the week either, although Mondays seems to be the easiest for me to hit.
So that wraps up this first edition of the Analysis at the Hall's new home. I want to thank Shaxper for having us here after we closed our doors on the original forum. I also want to remind everyone about our Facebook page, right here:

That's all for this week folks - see you next time!
