This Vaughn Bodé classic was created when he was a student at Syracuse University in the 60s. Dave Sim has cited this as a favorite.

I almost went with Detective #337, the totally goofy "New Look" issue that always pops to mind when anybody starts talking about how the "New Look" got rid of all the goofy Jack Schiff material and made Batman more serious. But I changed my mind and went with #285, a Jack Schiff issue that's not nearly as dumb as the "New Look" story in #337.
