Maybe this is old news to everybody else, but there was another Alex Ross, Alexander Sharpe Ross, well known in American art circles in the mid-20th century. Apparently no relation to Nelson Alexander "Alex" Ross who does comic books. He had a similar Rockwellian style, too. Confusing! www.illustrationhistory.org/artists/alex-ross1

That is strange. Two of a kind. If reality played like DC comics of old, someone might suggest one is actually an artist from Earth II... badwolf beat me to the Earth II nod!

Looks like a Norman Rockwell type, if that example is typical of his work.
