That sounds neat! I just ordered Amazon's last copy of the Deluxe Edition compiling it. Thanks for the tip. It has its ups and downs but it was a cool experiment. Cooke, Howard Chaykin and Sergio Aragones put out my favorite issues. If you like Solo, you should also track down Wednesday Comics. -M

Not entirely successful but I love when they'll take risks on different formats.

4. Doom Patrol and the Flash Brave and the Bold # 65 (DC, 1966)Barry Allen's Flash seemed to pop up a lot back in the Brave and the Bold (before Batman became the established co-star) and here he's co-starring with the Doom Patrol. Bob Haney's script/dialogue is in keeping with DP writer Arnold Drake's style. The story featured the DP's perennial foes the Brotherhood of Evil. The cover was by regular DP artist Bruno Premiani. All in all this issue seemed like a Doom Patrol story with a guest appearance by the Flash. Which suited me fine, as I was more of a DP fan than a Flash fan. Plus there's this. Art by Dick Giordano/Sal Trapani.
