1. Nexus, Badger and Judah the Hammer
Nexus 6, 7, 8. The Trialogue Trilogy (also known as Travels in the Bowl Shaped World) 1985 Hope and Crosby never had a Road Trip like these 3 stooges find in traversing the Bowl Shaped World. See the sights of a new world through these 3 traveling not so wise men. See Nexus de-powered and learning to coping as a normal human being.See Badger being Badger; as in silly/nutso/whacko/kung fu-ing as usual. See Judah trying not to strangle Badger. What can I say? These stalwart companions make a splendid team in connecting these 2 comic book worlds from the mind and pen of Mike Baron. Nexus and Badger teaming should be an annual thing like the JSA/JLA meetings. Who wouldn't buy a min-series or a big double size story once a year with this 3 man tag team supreme? When you combine the wit, wisdom, insanity and fights galore when these 3 guys cross paths you are guaranteed an adventure filled with fun and games. They play so well off each other and Baron does know them so well and finds great ways for their interactions. This was a blast in every issue. Add in Steve Rude doing his wonderful art styling in delivering a wondrous new world full of the 3 Amigo's antics and you have a classic which stands the test of time!!! I picked this a few day go and Baron left the door open to revisiting their adventures in the Bowl Shaped world because he notes that they were there over 2 months. Rude rules.

There are so may great moments in this book and Spider-man snapping out of feeling sorry for himself to help Superman was one of them. " Stuck up Lana Lang" Priceless.

1. Starman and Black Canary The Brave and the Bold #61 DC, 1965Another comic I read way back when thanks to my cousins' DC collection. That cover--arguably Murphy Anderson at his peak. Who wouldn't be mesmerized by those exquisite lines? And Starman and Black Canary? They're like Fred and Ginger, or Gene Kelly and Rita Hayworth! And it wasn't just deceptive advertising ; Anderson did the interior art too. I never did get hold of the next B & B issue, which also featured Starman and Black Canary, this time alongside Wildcat instead of Larry Lance. But no matter; it was this particular comic, B & B #61, that got me hooked on the JSAers and Earth Two and all that fun stuff.
