I'm using it to part with 105 more books, they're already 'sold' and will be delivered to my dealer on Monday.
Not that I started off the year with that resolution, but being indoors with comics all over the place makes you decide what to do with them.
Already spotted my first purchase for 2021....just waiting for the current postal 'glut' to ease up a bit

Okay, here we go with my final report. I've got to say that Covid 19 did not have the expected effect upon my reading. I figured that sheltering in place and ultimately taking unpaid leave from work to stay home with my kids would give me MORE reading time, but I've since learned what it's like to be a stay at home parent guiding three kids through remote learning. There literally isn't a free minute in the day unless you are in the bathroom! So I definitely fell short of my reading goals, but I got in nearly all the reviews I wanted to, at least. Buying Goals- I'd like to complete a run of Life with Archie (1958) #1-10. I currently have #1, 3, and 4. Nearly completed. Never found an affordable copy of #6, but I got the rest! Completed.. Unexpectedly, it's proven to be the late Detective Comics/Batman Family issues where Cary Burkett is writing Batgirl. Really loving these! Completed.. I'd envisioned reading the classics, but those take a lot more time to read than I ended up having. I read the Dark Descent of Elizabeth Frankenstein and The Silent Patient, and both only reaffirmed my belief that the classics are better. I'm now a little more than halfway through David Copperfield (and I'm LOVING it!), but I haven't been able to pick it up in over a week now, and I think I'll be lucky to have it finished by NEXT New Years. Completed.Incomplete.. The new CCF Podcast episodes with Icctrombone gave me renewed interest in the run, but I still only got to #230. Completed. I read two this year, and that was absolutely fine for me. I treat each issue as a special event to be savored. Incomplete. I didn't even touch it. Nearly complete. We got through 15 issues, and she is still excited to read more with me. Fortunately or unfortunately, there are so many other things we enjoy doing together, so X-Men doesn't always make the list with the limited time we get alone. Incomplete. I didn't touch any of these this year. I did end up re-reading Corto Maltese from the beginning, though. Completed.. I not only completed the run but decided to take the thread further and have written 17 additional reviews already! I doubt I ever would have returned to this project this year if I hadn't made this goal, and now I'm enjoying it more than I ever did before. Near Complete. I've done a staggering 27 reviews for Superman this year. I also did three for Batman and just last week finally resurrected the Doug Moench thread and did three reviews there. I'm two reviews short for Batman, two short for Moench, and 22 ahead for Superman, so I think I accomplished more than I didn't, and now I'm very excited to make the Moench thread a priority for next year. Completed.. I've done 11 reviews for the New Teen Titans, and I finally restored the Justice League thread's photos, many of which were still being held for ransom by Photobucket. I now intend to do some more reviews for that thread in 2021. Completed. I did one Atari Force review and did not feel inspired to do more. I have not been inspired to touch the other two.

So technically I didn't fulfill my desire to read ALL the Vakerian and Corto Maltese, it only means I truly savored what I did read all the more. And the advantage of still fresh and new adventures to come. I can live with failed 2020 resolution. I did manage to survive a MAJOR career change and COVID so far, so I hope to look forward for a better year spent with my nose buried deep in comics and novels.
