Roy and his manager John Cimino, who did the lionshare of the work on this project, have launched a database cataloging all of Roy's contributions (characters, concepts whatnot) to the field of comics. You can find the info page here with links ot the various databases on that page. -M

Thank you for the link.
It would be a cruel understatement to say Thomas was one of the industry's most important talents overall. His impact soars beyond that.

A lot of fun to browse through! I think he also expanded the use of "see issue #____" footnotes into having real character.
I think Union Jack and Spitfire are two of his best. And Man Wolf... the modern Black knight... Havok... didn't he create Polaris too? I hope this won't launch a lot of disputes though.

^^^ Re Alex and Lorna, two of my all-time favorite characters: it was Arnold Drake who introduced Lorna Dane-not-yet-called-Polaris (in X-Men #49) and Alex Summers (in #54). Not sure what Drake's intentions were regarding Alex as Thomas returned to the X-Men with #55. Alex first got the Havok name and costume in a Thomas-Adams ish, #58 (as that database indicates). Drake's stint as the X-scripter was short but memorable...but Thomas took it to a higher level. I remember being very happy when he returned to the X-Men book. Back when I was reading comics I had my Stan Lee Marvels and my Roy Thomas Marvels. I loved 'em both, but I also appreciated their differences. Thomas's stories always seemed more literate, complex and far more ambitious to me.
That's a great resource, thanks for the link mrp.

Not surprising to see that Roy Thomas' greatest and most important character, Jaxxon, the green space-rabbit, is included. Hopefully the character will receive his own dedicated page or shrine on that website at some point.
