If Wikipedia is accurate, the Golden Age of Comics is generally accepted to be 1938 to 1956; the Silver Age of Comics is generally accepted to be 1956 to 1970; and the Bronze Age of Comics is generally accepted to be 1970 to 1984 (probably my favourite era). The Modern Age began in 1984 - and is still going, seemingly for all eternity.
I am not that keen on such designations necessarily as they imply a certain quality (or lack of). Every era has good and bad comics. I've read some tedious books from the 1930s-50s. And while some claim everything older is better, I've read some cracking modern titles. I am not that keen on the designations because they seem to be equated with the medals given out at the Olympics.
However, this poll is about which one rolls off the tongue more naturally. Which one sounds better? It's not about your favourite era or stories, but about which one sounds right.
Golden Age sounds too perfectionist for me. Gold is valuable. Golden Age makes it sound like every book from that era is beyond reproach. Same as if someone discusses a 'golden age of law and order' or 'golden age of cinema'. Gold implies superiority. I don't like that.
Silver Age sounds right. It rolls off the tongue naturally. So that gets my vote.
Bronze Age may represent one of my favourite eras, but to me, it reminds me of how a bronze medal winner in the Olympics comes third. Who really wants to be third? And does anyone even invest in bronze? Some may, but I see more ads on TV for gold and silver investment.
Out of the designations, I think Silver Age of Comic Books sounds the best! The matter of which era is the best (or your favourite) is another matter, one we've discussed many times - and will no doubt discuss in the future.

I am more than fine with the terminology. Platinum, Gold, Silver, Bronze, Copper. We need a way to end the copper age and probably fit in 1-2 ages between 1984 and now as comics went through some big changes.

If Wikipedia is accurate... Let me stop you there. John Byrne, is that you? Why are you disguised as Confessor? (In all honesty, I have come across inaccuracies on wrestling pages. And other pages, too. Some passages could sure use citations).

As I've mentioned before, I reject the whole Golden/Silver/Bronze paradigm (though I do use them as shorthand in conversation) so none of the above.
Cei-U! I summon my inner curnudgeon!

See, for me the Bronze Age always makes me think of the historical period in human development. Which makes it sound better to my ear.

Hey you bronze age morons, quite leaving your junk in my precious golden age! And you dagnabbit blasted know it all platinum ager's stop trying to squeeze into the silver age.
I know short hand terminology to describe a specific time seems easier for lumping things together but really, isn't the GOLDEN AGE specifically the actual moment in time A NEW READER discovers the glory of comic books? That special precious golden moment coming of age instance as you begin to recognize and choose which comics you want to read. THAT IS GOLDEN, everything else is just whipped cream, cherries, chocolate syrup and gummy bears on top of the entire smorgasbord of comic goodness to be discovered and enjoyed from the start of comics in a newspaper to back issues over the decades to current comics being printed and the wonder and joy of comics yet to come...

I just refer to them by their years.

"Golden Age" was the original phrase, used in many contexts for years, maybe centuries. Comics fandom is the only place I know of that has extrapolated from Golden to Silver and Bronze ages.

I do respect all views here, every one that has been posted so far, but please remember that the topic is about which sounds the best in conversation. In life, some things don't sound right even though they may be good things. I follow WWE but whenever I say it out loud, it does not sound as right as WWF did.
So I'm interested in which one rolls off the tongue more naturally.

Atom Age. The assonance is an appealing acoustic attribute.
