Supposed twins Jonathan AND Jordan Kent have been cast per Deadline.Very interesting to see the way they go with the Kents now having two children (per the near stinger end of Crisis).

Just wait until the kids Kryptonian super powers kick in. IF they were to develop during their time as babies that would be some nearly indestructible number 1 and number 2 to dispose of and clean up! How many years does it take in current Superman mythology for all of that yellow sun energy to build up?
That initial notice makes me think Clark/Lois are NOT very good parents (or again, writers coming up with a KEWL idea and not really thinking it all the way through) to their kids. Having grown up on Earth you would think that Kal would have learned about all the mistakes his children will make as they find out about their super abilities. NOT telling them about their very unique genealogy is just plain DUMB. Tween's and Teen-age is difficult enough to endure without suddenly learning about your Alien heritage.

The first actual live-action Superman series in 23 years, and it's helmed by the CW. If they give him a suit with actual trunks, maybe I'll eventually check out the pilot. Otherwise, hard pass.

Melissa Benoist and David Harewood were well-cast, but that's where my positive experience with the show begins and ends.

For me, I feel like the Crisis crossover provided me with what I needed to be personally assured that the CW has a good handle on Superman.

Like most of CW's DC series, Supergirl is extremely weak on plotting, create "arcs" that go nowhere, and overloaded with political soapbox material all from one narrow end of the ideological spectrum. That, and FX that are worse than CG from 2002, and the CW's DC shows are just awful. Their casting/handling of Superman is another example of that, as Hoechlin lacks any of the intensity of the Superman side when dealing with a threat (Cavill and Reeve defined that), and his Kent is just the same guy, only with glasses. That all-important dual identity distinction is nowhere to be found in Hoechlin's performance.

The Superman & Lois show will debut on the CW in January of 2021: I wonder how any studio can reliably forecast release dates right now. Is Hollywood back to work yet?

I actually like the Kara portions of the show more than the Supergirl portions. I think the show is very well cast and the interpersonal dynamics are fantastic. The plots themselves? Yeah, maybe not so much.
